William G. "Bill" Klatt, Jr.

Passed away peacefully at his home in Afton after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. Preceded in death by his father, Bill Sr. Survived by his mother, Irene, his loving wife of 28 years, Linda, two daughters, Laura and Kerry, his sisters Bonne (John) Kluge and Barb Hall and brother Bob (Cindy) Klatt. Bill was a kind-hearted man who loved his wife and daughters deeply until his last breath. He was a loving son and brother who provided great support to his family earlier this year while his father battled cancer. He was a loyal friend to many over the years and will surely never be forgotten by all who knew him. After retiring from a successful college and professional hockey career, Bill became owner of Heppner's Auto Body in 1985. He cared greatly for his employees, whose hard work he valued immensely. Bill was a talented golfer, who shared his love for the game with his daughter, Laura. He was fortunate enough to spend many great vacations golfing with her all over the country. He loved visiting New York City with his daughter, Kerry. These special trips will never be forgotten. But most of all he was a beloved husband and best friend for forty years. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec 29 at 10am at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th St. N. Oakdale MN. Visitation at 9:00am.
