

Steve was one of eleven children of parents Luz and Florencia Guerrero and was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings, as well as three of his children, Steve II, Esther and Luz. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Jennie and four children sons Robert and wife Carmen, Steve III and wife Virginia, daughters Irene and husband Leroy, and Pat and husband Jeff; as well as 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve spent his early years in Placentia, CA where he attended school and graduated from the eighth grade. At this time he went to work in the agriculture industry to help support his large family. In 1939 he met the love of his life, Jennie Robles and they were married on February 8, 1940 in Fullerton, Ca. During this time his family made numerous trips to the Central Valley picking, packing and transporting fruit to various markets. Steve loved the San Joaquin Valley and in 1954 he purchased his beloved “Big G Ranch” in Elderwood, Ca where he resided until his death.
Steve worked at numerous jobs through the years with employment at Woodlake Hardware, Wheeling Pacific as well as labor contracting and ranch management. Steve loved the mountains and spent many summers camping with his family in the nearby Sierras. He was a friend to all and official greeter of all new neighbors who moved into the Elderwood area.
He will sorely missed by friend and family but his stories will be remembered forever.
Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel 134 N. Cypress St., Woodlake on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 at 4:00 pm follow by Rosary at 6pm at St. Frances Cabrini. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 9th, 2015, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of Woodlake at 9:00 am follow by burial at Woodlake District Cemetery.
