Born on August 23, 1963, in Michoacan, Mexico to Melquiades Villa (deceased) and Agustina Gomez de Villa. Florentino was known for his hard-working, humorous, loyal, and selfless nature.
In his early life, Florentino always preferred working over attending school. As a child, he enjoyed playing marbles, but as he grew older, his favorite games were slingshot and el trompo.

He had a passion for many things in life, including horseback riding, pajaretes, and watching black and white movies. Florentino enjoyed going to the casino and listening to music, often saying that "music ran through his veins." A practicing Catholic, he loved celebrating the festivities of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Horses were his joy, and he took great pleasure in rodeos, horseback riding parades, and horse taming. His favorite actors were Cantinflas, Capulina, and la India Maria, but most of all, he enjoyed dancing with his grandchildren.
Florentino's favorite quote was "De lo bueno se da poco."
