Sadie was born on March 24, 1948 in Tijeras, NM to Enrique and Amalia Gonzales. Her Family moved to Woodlake in 1957. She attended and graduated from Woodlake High School in 1966. On June 18, 1966, Sadie married Conrad Sanchez. They raised two sons, Conrad Eugene Sanchez and Edward Isaac Sanchez.
Sadie first job was as an aide at Thomas P. Ryan Elementary in San Jose. Other previous employers include Security Savings and Loan and Far West savings and loan where she became the Branch Manager. She then worked at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Jose before moving on to the Center for Innovation in Education. After moving from San Jose back to her Hometown of Woodlake, CA, she briefly worked at Miller Memorial Chapel before moving on to a position with the Woodlake Union High School district as an Aide first at Bravo High School for 8 years and her final year at Woodlake High School after which she retire in 2010.
Sadie had a passion for cooking. She also loved going to the Casino, Her nickname was Casino Sadie because when healthy she never passed up an opportunity to go. Her love for her family was immeasurable. Sadie never stopped thinking about her husband, Conrad and sons, making sure that they never went hungry for food or love. Sadie was always there to offer advice to her children, brothers, sisters and nieces and nephews. She was a social butterfly and loved talking to her friends both in person and on the phone. Her married name was Sanchez, but she was born a Gonzales and the passion and love for her Parents, siblings and their children was evident every day of her life. Sadie was known for her Beautiful smile and compassionate nature. She was the strongest mentally of anyone you could ever know. Sadie got her strength from her unwavering faith in God. Throughout her battle with cancer she never gave up the hope that she would survive and fought until her last breath.
Sadie was preceded in death by her father, Enrique (Henry) Gonzales; her mother, Amalia (Grandma Molly) Lovato Gonzales; her sister, Lorraine Nunez and brother, Malaquias (Mel) Gonzales. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Conrad Sanchez; her sons, Conrad Eugene Sanchez with wife Teresa Alvarez Sanchez and Edward Isaac Sanchez; her grandchildren, Ryan Jacob Sta.-Elena Sanchez, Victoria Esperanza Sanchez and Vanessa Nicole Sanchez; her brothers, Al Gonzales, Harry Gonzales, Merced Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales, Santos Gonzales, James Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales; her sisters, Christina Gonzales, Virginia Huerta, Stella Gonzales, Agnes Bowles as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel 1120 West Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA 93291 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be held at Woodlake Cemetery District 165 N. Cypress St. Woodlake, CA 93286 on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
