

Catherine F. Andreala born December 15, 1915 died Sunday, August 4, 2013 peacefully with her family by her side. She was 97 years young. She was a lifetime resident of Astoria, NY and a lifetime parishioner of St. Rita's RC Church in Ravenswood, NY.
Catherine was a bow designer for Lofts Candy in Long Island City, NY where she met her husband Anthony (Tony). They married shortly after and honeymooned at Yankee Stadium. She had 2 children and became an active member of the Ravenswood Democratic Club and later became a member of the Astoria Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed frequent trips with her club friends to Atlantic City to play the penny slots. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed sharing her recipes with her family. She loved spending time with family and friends and was so full of life. She looked for celebrations in everyday life and was always considered the life of the party. One of her true passions was being able to put on the Yankees game as it was truly her American past-time. She was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but she has left a lasting impression upon all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband Anthony Andreala, her parents Savino and Renee Pascarella, her brothers Charlie Pascarella, Anthony Pascarella, Nick Pascarella, Alfred Pascarella, her sisters Josephine Colaianni, Madeline Rovello, Laura Hector, many neices and nephews and close friends. She is survived by her son Anthony Andreala and his wife Dolores, her daughter Marie Elena Ferguson and her husband Gerald, her sister Anna Celik, her grandchildren Anthony Andreala, Gina Matise and her husband Stephen, Robert Andreala and his wife Wendy, her 6 great grandchildren Gianna, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Jenna, Joseph and RJ, many neices and nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers her wishes would have been a contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley.
