Gilbert J. Beauzil, of Long Island City, passed away on December 19, 2012. Gilbert Beauzil was born November 25, 2967 in Port-au Prince, Haiti. At the age of 17, he immigrated to the United States where he attended Bushwick High School. Later on, he attended Hunter College and earned a degree in Accounting.
Gilbert was a great pillar to his family structure. He was a loving and dedicated person who was never more than a phone call away. He was loving, caring and warm. He seemed to always have an answer to any question or problem. He never forgot a birthday and was the first to call to find out how you are doing, especially during the holidays. Everyone was touched by his kindness and generosity.
He was a great brother, son and friend. He is survived by his life partner Thomas Johnson; his parents Belice and Marguerite Beauzil; his brothers Robert Beauzil, Gregory Beauzil, Beniot Beauzil and Gerald Beauzil; his sisters Annaica Domercant, Natasha Beauzil and Keisha Beauzil as well as many nieces and nephews. He was loved by all of us and will surely be missed.
Gilbert and I first met 16 years ago on December 27, 1996. We started to see each other immediately and moved in together shortly afterwards. We did everything together and just enjoyed each other so much. He loved his job, his co-workers and most of all he was all for his family. He was always visiting or talking to his family. He was the problem solver with people, electronics and anything that needed attention. To sum it up, Gilbert was the most wonderful person anyone could know and I am .so blessed to have spent the last 16 years of our lives together. I will miss him every day and will always think of him.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 4-9pm
