KELVIN “Calvin” PERRY, passed away at home on June 22, 2016, in his city of birth Long Island City, NY. He was born on November 29, 1958 to loving mother Janie Perry and the late Roy Perry Sr. Kelvin was the cherished husband and best friend of his one and only love of 40+ years, Annette McDonald-Perry. Loving father of Quateah McDonald-Barron and Shamel McDonald; father-in-law of Rashad Barron Sr. Beloved brother of six, Tyrone Perry, Carline Perry-Brockington & husband, Wali D Brockington, Vara Lynn Spencer & husband Ricky “Bernard” Spencer and his late siblings Emmanuel, Roy Jr. and Bobby Perry. Dear brother-in-law of Wilfred “Aziz” McDonald, Gregory McDonald, Henry McDonald, Aretha McDonald, Julia McDonald, Carol McDonald, Laverne Cooper and the late Paulette Allen. Doting and treasured grandfather of Rashad Jr., Zavior, Nhyle, and Koye Barron.

Affectionately known as “Uncle Calvin” to a host of beautiful nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and two godchildren, Kelvin was the life of the party. Kelvin was loved by all and known for his quick-wittedness and infectious laughter. His generosity made him everybody’s uncle and everybody’s friend.

Kelvin loved all things science fiction and nature related, plus we know he made a mean mac-n-cheese! He’ll hold a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew him. For now, we are forced to say goodbye to his warm, good-humored soul, but you can be sure he’ll be watching over and waiting for us on the other side to greet us with a joke, a hug and his famous laugh. Kelvin will be missed dearly, but his life continues through his family and friends that loved and adored him.
