Papazian, Leda of Long Island City, NY passed away on Friday, March 25th at the age of 81 after a long illness. Leda was born and lived her entire life in Astoria, but also cherished her summers in the Catskill Mountains, which was her home away from home. After receiving her Masters of Education from NYU, Leda fulfilled her lifelong calling by teaching kindergarten at P.S. 85 in Astoria for over fifty years. She brought great joy and love to her work as she impacted the lives of thousands of students.
Leda’s warm sense of humor and fun always brought smiles to all she met as well as her family and friends who loved teasing and being teased by her. She will be deeply missed. Leda was pre-deceased by her brother, Leo and her parents, Diana and Bedros. Leda was beloved by her niece, Lyssa and her nephew Greg and their families.
