She was born in Manhattan, NYC attending local schools and graduating from Cathedral Preparatory High School in 1948, and took college courses at the American Institute of Banking. Growing up, she enjoyed bike riding, ice skating, and exploring Central Park with her girlfriends.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Vito (Willie) Stallone in 1950. They loved dancing and went on to become competition ballroom dancers. She won a ballroom dance championship in New York City for dancing the Merengue. Her love for music spanned from classical through pop and to rock. She was an avid reader and her home was filled with books.
A devoted mother, she raised five children, three boys and two girls. She loved being with her nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren watching them play and grow.
She held various positions throughout her working career, retiring as a bank officer for European American Bank.
In retirement, she was a regular at the Happy Seniors Club in Astoria. She was very social and enjoyed people. She had many friends. She touched the lives of everyone she befriended. She was unrelentingly positive, always willing to guide you to see the sunshine beyond the clouds. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader and was always in your corner no matter what the circumstances. She always made sure her family and loved ones deserved the very best.
She was predeceased by her husband, Willie, her two brothers, Bernard & Owen, and her daughter, Jill. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Thomas (Karin), John (Carolyn), Jane (Paul), and Donald (Suzanne), her sister Patricia, and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is happily dancing with Willie again and her daughter, Jill.
