

Lois accepted Christ at an early age at the Frost Branch Missionary Baptist Church of Springfield, South Carolina under the leadership / Pastorate of Reverend Bryant; she was educated in the Public School system of Williston, South Carolina.
After High School, Lois relocated to Jamaica, New York; she worked at Mattel Toy Factory and also worked as a Domestic until she became ill. Lois touched the lives of many with her pleasant and easy going manner; she was quick to smile and make others laugh.
Lois was united in holy matrimony to Spurgeon Drayton in 1959.
On Thursday July 23, 2015 Lois Drayton entered eternal rest at New Franklin Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing of Flushing, New York. Preceded her in death were Her Beloved husband Spurgeon, one granddaughter Starkeisha and Five Siblings, Helen, Thomas, Thelma, Linda and Vivian.
Lois leaves to cherish her memories; one daughter, Michelle Lisa Drayton (Tony Small). Five Sons; Spurgeon; Ronnie (Deborah) Michael Anthony; Phillip Mark and Johnny Leonard; three sisters, Ethel Mae Croker, Dorothy Peeples and Gladys Lorraine Peeples; three Brothers, James (Maria); Jesse (Evelyn)and Clarence Peeples. Lois is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one aunt, two uncles, six sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

Special thanks to Ms. Donna Ann Peeples, her great niece, for always being there for Lois, For the support and loving care that she gave to Lois during her illness; Thanks Donna!!!
Thanks also to her home attendant, Ms. Martina Montsor and the New Franklin Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for its dedication and care to Mrs. Drayton.
Note to Lois
Hello Lois, it is us again, Your Family, we wish you all the happiness in the universe with GOD. We will miss you but GOD has relieved you of all your aches and pains.
It is sometimes hard to understand why these things have to be done. Our sad heart seeks the answer but it’s not for us to see.
We can only trust in GOD and know that in some way it’s all part of HIS great plan. We will understand someday. We will miss you; REST IN PEACE.
