Veronica B. Turner

Turner, Veronica B. 86 of Woodside, New York, passed away on Wednesday February 19,2014. Mrs. Turner,(nee McMahon) was born and raised in Manhattan. She had a career as an administrator and worked for agencies at the state and federal level as well as in the private sector. She married Eugene X. Turner, her childhood sweetheart who has predeceased her. Mrs. Turner was a longtime volunteer for the alumni organization of Cathedral High School as well as St. Sebastian Church. Her organizational skills, sense of humor, feistines, generosity and friendship will be missed by many. She is survived by her sister, Helen Slevin and brother James McMahon as well as more that 100 nieces, nephews, greats and grands, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place at the Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, New York 11377 on Sunday February 23, 2014 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Sebastian Church, Woodside on Monday February 24th at 9:45 AM, followed by her interment at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.
