On January 23, 1981, a quaint snow-covered hospital in Ohio welcomed the birth of a child that became a truly remarkable man, the son of Kimberly and Rodney Rouse. Chad developed into an avid outdoorsman, entrepreneur, and collector of “all the things”, as well as an outstanding Son, Father, Brother, Nephew, Uncle, Cousin, and Grandson. He never met a stranger and always had time to talk to anyone and inspire a smile or a chuckle. His laughter was charismatic and contagious, and his light brought warmth and happiness wherever he went. He is a man that sees the best in people and prided himself on the little things.
Not only did he collect little trinkets, crowning himself the Knick-Knack King the thing he treasured above all else was his collection of people. Chad’s curious interest in other people with his unique and outgoing personality expanded his unprecedented number of friends.
Chad graduated from North Gwinnett High School as a varsity basketball Bulldog before starting his dedication and hard work as a master carpenter. That commitment to his craft led him to open Callaway Services, LLC.
He is survived by his Son, Cassius Luke Callaway, Daughter, Araya Zue Callaway and their mother Ashley Donohoo; his Mother, Kimberly Beasley and her husband Curtis Beasley; his Father Jason Callaway and his wife Pamela Hunter; his Brother Chase Callaway and his wife Breeana Callaway and his niece and nephew Belle and Callum; his Aunt Kristin and Uncle Philip Sanders and his cousin Alexandra; his Grandfather Edward Ortiz and his many, many friends; in addition, he was predeceased by his Grandmother Sandra “Toots” Ferrier and his Great-Grandmother Connie “Mimi” Fine.
While Chad will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, he would want everyone to know how much he loves and cares for all of us, we were his most cherished collection. He wouldn’t want us to cry or feel sad, he would want us to live, laugh, and party and remember him as a loving and dedicated father, devoted son, playful brother, warrior, and the lovable storytelling character we all treasured.
