Edmund Edwin “Ed” Edmonds, age 72, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on February 7, 2019. He was the son of the late Francis Edmonds and Agnes Shepherd Edmonds of Pensacola, Florida. Ed was a kind and generous man with a great sense of humor. He brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. He was an active member of Sixes United Methodist Church having served on the board of trustees. He was a graduate of Florida State University, where he was a member of Chi Phi. He had a long career with The Home Depot, where he retired as the Director of Payroll. He was a man with many interests, and was passionate about everything he was involved in throughout his life. Ed’s memory will be cherished by his wife of 50 years, Emily Newman Edmonds of Woodstock, Georgia; children, Stephanie Edmonds of Woodstock, Georgia, Paul Edmonds and his wife, Chipo, of Emerson, Georgia, and Rachel Edmonds of Woodstock, Georgia; granddaughters, Danielle Zhanje-Edmonds and Gabrielle Edmonds; sister, Patricia Gayle “Pat” Tindell and her husband, Adrian, of West Jordan, Utah; sister in law, Mary Lou Sanders of Moss Pointe, Mississippi; uncle, David Edmonds of Winchester, Kansas; aunt, Vivien Shepherd of Green Cove Springs, Florida, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Celebration of life services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Sixes United Methodist Church 8385 Bells Ferry Road Canton, GA 30114 with a reception to follow.
