Edward "Bud" Duffy

Born and raised in Illinois, he worked hard throughout life and was known for his dependable kind nature. He was the father, husband, and friend everyone wished they had. His home was everyone's home, where a seemingly constant revolving door of "spare children" rotated through.

Bud is survived by his four children, Casey Duffy of Georgia, Russell Duffy of Georgia, Laurie (Stephen) Jacobs of Florida, and Bill Duffy of Illinois. His grandchildren Tebin, Jesse, Dustin, Micah, Eri, and Kaity, will always treasure their many memories of him. He was delighted to have held and met his new great-grandson Karter.

His marriage to his late wife Nancy began when they were 18 years old. It continued for 56 years until her death in 2011. Their life together was a true testament to the importance of love and family values. They worked hard and kept their family close. In his own quiet way, he gave Mom the greatest birthday gift ever by reuniting with her on her birthday.
