Emiline was raised in Richland, Georgia, and later moved to Columbus as a teenager, where she graduated from Columbus High School. She went on to enjoy a long and successful career with Towers Perrin Actuarial Firm, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service.
A devoted woman of faith, Emiline was a longtime member of Greensboro First Methodist Church for over two decades. Upon moving to Woodstock, Georgia, she joined Canton First Methodist Church, where she continued her active involvement in church life.
Her love for music was a defining part of her life. She was a proud member of the Reynolds Chorus at Reynolds Lake Oconee and the Choir at Greensboro First Methodist Church. One of her proudest moments came on November 26, 2017, when she performed with the Greensboro Chamber Choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City during the Messiah Seventh Annual Presentation Refreshed! – Handel’s Messiah.
Emiline had many passions, including gardening, sewing, playing the piano, singing, and playing Canasta. She was known for her joy of entertaining and cooking for family and friends, and for her knack for finding the best bargains while shopping. A sentimental soul, she collected rocks from her travels—each one a reminder of a cherished memory.
She was truly the quintessential Southern Belle, known for her gracious demeanor, radiant smile, sweet southern accent, and boundless energy. Her family lovingly referred to her as “The Energizer Bunny.” Whether it was a beach trip with loved ones, a girlfriend getaway, a church gathering, or simply a dinner out, Emiline lived life fully and joyfully. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, faith, and friendship.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, starting at 12:00 p.m. at Canton First Methodist Church in the Chapel, located at 930 Lower Scott Mill Rd., Canton, GA. A Celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m.
