

Mr. Gary Earl Billion, 72, of Roswell, GA, formally of Suwanee, GA passed away August 31, 2015. Gary was born in Syracuse, NY on August 13, 1943. He graduated from North High School. When Gary was attending Syracuse University, he was involved in an accident that left him a quadriplegic. Despite his physical challenges, Gary earned a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s in Education. He enjoyed a career as a substitute teacher for the West Genesee School System. Gary was an Eagle Scout and remained active in the Boy Scout’s in leadership roles when he was younger. In 1997, Gary moved to Suwanee where he became an active fan of his beloved North Gwinnett Bulldogs. He will be remembered as a true friend to the students. Gary was inspiring, supportive and an optimist. Gary was friendly to every person he met. He will be immensely missed by all who knew him. He was an avid sports fan and supporter of student sports. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Geraldine Billion. He leaves behind his brother, Donald Billion (Gail), sister, Sharon Leonard (Wayne) and 4 much loved nephews. Gary will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery with his parents at a later date.
