

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday September 8, 2011 at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Allan officiating. Burial will follow in Georgia National Cemetery with Woodstock Funeral Home directing. There will be a memorial service tonight at First Baptist Church of Woodstock at 7 P.M. with Chaplain Bill Allan officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to David Gray or the other injured Cherokee County Firefighter’s who were injured trying to save the Mallon Family. Please send donations to Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services 150 Chattin Drive, Canton, GA 30115. The family would like to thank ALL who valiantly tried to save our Mother and Father.
Mr. Mallon was born June 21, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James Elnathan Sr. and Dorothy Adams Mallon. Mr. Mallon also served his country in the U. S. Army, and also retired from IBM after 35 years of service in Columbus, OH and Atlanta, GA. After retirement he also held numerous part-time jobs around Woodstock. Mr. Mallon was also a member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock.
Survivors include his son, Jim and his wife Debbie (Fuchs) of Cary, N.C., a daughter, Cheryl (Mallon) Webb, Woodstock, GA, five grandchildren, Jamie, Patrick, and Nicole Mallon, Cary, N.C., David Webb, and Elizabeth Webb, both of Woodstock, GA., also several nieces and nephews.
