

Mr. James Michael O'Hanlon, age 73, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Elwell, his sister Elizabeth Haire, and his brother Billy O’Hanlon. He was a devoted father to Joanne Walker, Michael O’Hanlon, and Jennifer Wolfe, and a proud grandfather to Jack Walker, Abby and Clara Wolfe, and Max and Anna O’Hanlon.
A talented craftsman and entrepreneur, Jim owned and operated Boy Dixie Framers and Gilders in Roswell, where he restored fine art and antique frames. Later, he and his business partner, Buddy, purchased The Picture Framer in Alpharetta, where they worked side by side until selling the business and retiring.
In his retirement, Jim enjoyed fishing, strolling along the beaches of Florida’s coast, collecting and trading antique art, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren who brought him great joy.
Jim will be remembered for his artistry, his love for family, and the warmth he shared with those around him.
A memorial gathering for James will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, Georgia 30188.
