

Mrs. Park was born March 11, 1929, in Axson, GA to the late William Henry and Alice Ophelia Barnard Murray. Mrs. Park was a retired school teacher in the Duval County School System after 20 years of faithful service at Ruth N. Upson Elementary. She was a member of Murray Hill United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, FL and also a member of the Young at Heart Choir. Mrs. Park was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves Fan.
Mrs. Park was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen G. Park and a daughter Gloria Jones.
Survivors include two daughters; Gail (Wayne) Hendrix, Woodstock, GA., Beverly (Rob) Stevenson, Virginia Beach, VA; nine grandchildren, Katie (Andy) Resch, Julie (Michael) Brake, Joseph (Emily) Hendrix, Bryan (Lianne) Stevenson, Clay (Angie) Stevenson, Grant (Mary) Stevenson, Mark (Rebecca) Stevenson, Jon (Kathy) Jones, Jennifer (Joel) Peters; 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Edgar (Pat) Murray, and Harvey (Evaline) Murray; sisters-in-law, Lila Fletcher, Ila (S.G.) Austin, Louise (Noah) Holton, and Chloe Courson; brothers-in-law, Willie (Juawan) Park and Hugh Park; multiple nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday September 6, 2011 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave, Jacksonville, FL, with the Rev. Rob Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery Jacksonville, FL. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 A.M. at the funeral home before the service.
