Marie J Carlo

Mrs. Marie J. Carlo, 99, of Woodstock, GA passed away peacefully August 18, 2017. She was born on December 4, 1917 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Samuel and Mary Caruso. After graduating from high school, Marie went to study cosmetology and opened a styling salon in Pittsburgh, PA, where she met the love of her life, Louis J Carlo, Jr. Marie followed her husband’s military career and then settled in Miami, Florida. In 2000, Marie moved to Woodstock, GA where she was an active member at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Marie was a very loving, spiritual and kind person and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her late husband, Louis J Carlo, Jr.; and leaves behind twin daughters, Theresa Turner (Richard) and Mary Lou Trassi (Israel “Junior”), grandchildren, Lisa Turner, Tina Baker and Christina Oakes, great-grandchildren, Alissa Bronkema, Holly Jordan, Steven Baker, Chad Oakes and Chase Oakes and great-great-grandchild, Nash. A funeral mass will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock, GA. A graveside service will be Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at Dade Memorial Park, Miami, FL. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Marie to Vitas Hospice, www.vitas.com.
