Martha Jean Morgan

Martha Morgan, age 85, of Woodstock, Georgia, formally of Snellville and Pine Mountain, passed away on February 3, 2026, in Canton, Georgia. She was born on May 10, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Grady High School and proudly graduated with the Class of 1958. Shortly thereafter, she married the love of her life, Mike Morgan. Their loving union lasted 44 years.

Professionally, Martha dedicated 15 years to working as a school nurse, caring for countless students with compassion and expertise. Prior to her nursing career, she was employed at the Coca-Cola plant, where she contributed to one of Atlanta's most iconic institutions.

She enjoyed sewing in her free time. She has always been deeply devoted to her faith, serving actively as a Sunday school teacher and playing a vital role in her church and community.

Martha was preceded in death by husband, Michael Morgan Sr., her parents, Willie Lee and Stella Reece Johnson, and by her siblings, Millie Elrod, Dorothy Hawthorne, and Joseph Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Morgan (Kenneth) Darling, son, Michael (Megan) Morgan Jr., and by her four grandchildren, Jacob Darling, Abby Darling, Zach Morgan, and Connor Morgan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, located at 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA, 30188. The funeral service will follow at the same venue, commencing at 5:00 pm.

A reception is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 6:00 pm, also at Woodstock Funeral Home, located at 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA.

Martha Jean Morgan will be laid to rest on February 8, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm at OakHill Cemetery, 13109 GA-85, Waverly Hall, GA, 31831.
