Mary Acton

Most recently she worked for Publix, a job which she enjoyed. Mary was a very devoted mother and loving grandmother. She dedicated herself to raising her sons. She always worked hard to provide for them and possessed incredible strength. Mary was very fun to be around. Her family and friends will miss the way she made them laugh, her generosity and kind spirit. She was also a dedicated Clemson Tigers fan. Mary had the ability to make everyone around her feel loved.

Mary leaves behind her sons, Stephen Lingerfelt (Stephanie) and Shaun Lingerfelt (Michelle); grandchildren, Jasmine, Sophia, Sara, Chasity and Gabriel; one great-grandchild on the way; mother, Barbara Acton Garrett; siblings, Steve Acton, Nancy Acton, Linda Watson and Andy Acton; and a large and loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank O. Acton Jr; and siblings Kathryn Field, Tom Acton and Mike Acton.

There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
