

Mrs. Mary Ann Burns, 58, of Woodstock, GA passed away July 7, 2015. She was born on August 25, 1956 in Nashville, TN. Mary Ann is a graduate of Father Ryan High School. She loved children and devoted herself to them as a preschool teacher at Timothy Lutheran Church and worked for Cherokee County Schools as an elementary substitute teacher. Mary Ann was a member of the Columbiettes and enjoyed volunteering at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. Mary Ann also enjoyed the beach and no matter how bad she was feeling she kept a positive attitude. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marjorie Clepper, brothers, Tim and Paul, sister, Sherri and father-in-law, Warren Burns. Mary Ann leaves behind her beloved husband of 31 years, John “Bob” Burns, daughter, Elizabeth Sheeran Burns, brothers, Rick, Pat, John, Mike and Tom and sisters, Christi, Jan and Teresa. Also surviving are uncles, Bob and Ralph and mother-in-law, Ruth Burns. The funeral mass will be Friday, July 10, 2015 at 6:30pm at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 490 Arnold Mill Rd, Woodstock, GA 30188. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 6-8pm and will have a prayer service at 8:00pm at Woodstock Funeral Home. Friends are asked to where yellow, Mary Ann’s favorite color, in her memory.
