Born on January 27, 1945, in Houston, Texas, Paula lived a life marked by kindness and deep devotion to her family. She was twice widowed—first by John J. Kozak Jr. and later by William C. Retzlaff—both of whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her children, John (Jessica) Kozak and Meg (Mark) Hellerstedt; her stepson, Brian (Mara) Retzlaff; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her brother, Bill (Mary) Klug, and sister, Shannon (Rick) Taylor.
A proud mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Paula will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and the quiet strength with which she supported those around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched with kindness.
A memorial service for Paula will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188.
