Phyllis Jean Hentzel, 79 of Kennesaw Ga, formally of Rolla, Mo and Salem, Illinois passed away July 3rd, 2021. Jean was born on March 11, 1942 in Centralia, Illinois to the late John and Dorothy Vanlandingham. After graduating from high school, Jean attended Southern Illinois University where she met and married a dashing young graduate student, David Rich Hentzel. The two relocated to Rolla, Mo in 1967 where they lived for over 50 years. Jean was an avid gardener, reader, and mother. She was active in her community and served on several civic boards. She ran her own business and helped many others achieve their own small business dreams as an SBA Consultant. She was a doting wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed by her children, David Rich Hentzel, Jr. (Teresa), Amy Jo Yoakum (Michael), and Adam Hentzel; grandchildren, Emily Latham; Wesley, Alaida, Zachary and Grayce Hentzel.
