Rick was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family—especially his beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Poppy.” He cherished every moment with them, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and warmth.
Rick had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and could often be found enjoying time by the pool, relaxing at the beach, tending to his garden, or caring for his many plants. He was also passionate about cooking, particularly smoking meat, and took pride in sharing meals with those he loved.
He was a graduate of Kennesaw State University and carried a strong work ethic and sense of dedication throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his loving wife, Tonya Anette Coursey, and his brother, John Coursey.
He is survived by his children, Tiffaney A. (Jeff) Wilbur, Richard Ray (Michelle) Coursey IV, and Cassie (Derek) Southerland; his cherished grandchildren, Ansley, Abigail, Cole, Caleb (Katie), Roman, and Aurelia; and his great-granddaughter, Raegan, and by his sister, Randy Linderman.
Rick will be remembered for his love of family, his easygoing spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed and forever treasured by all who knew and loved him.
