Richard was born in Racine, Wisconsin. He later met and married the love of his life, Gay Raschella. The couple had three children: Lisa, Christine and Vicki.
In 1986, Richard relocated with his family to Las Vegas, Nevada where they resided for 24 years. In 2010, Richard and Gay moved to Marietta, Georgia. Throughout their travels, Richard went by many nicknames including Dick, Dutch and Rich.
He had a great sense of humor and worked well with his hands. He was often fixing things around the house, woodworking, repairing cars and leaving a trail of half finished projects. He worked a dedicated employee of Teamsters Union for 18 years and was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era.
Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gay Dutcher of Marietta, Georgia; daughters, Lisa Galan and her husband, Daniel, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Christine Alexander and her husband, David, of Canton, Georgia and Vicki Kelley and her husband, Steve, of Canton, Georgia; brothers, Jeff and Jerry Chandler; and grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, Michael, Monica, Abigail, Nathanael, Evan and Kaitlyn.
Private Celebration of Life Services will be held by his family on Friday, February 22, 2019.
