Robert Lide Baldwin

Robert L. Baldwin passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his home in Marietta, Georgia. He was born to John Kenneth and Marjorie Hatchell Baldwin on Saturday, January 26, 1946 in Florence, South Carolina.

Robert was a graduate of Ware County High School, a graduate of Georgia Southern University and a member of KA Fraternity. He spent many years working for Cobb County Parks and Recreation and later retired from Jimco Stone Center.

You could often find Robert enjoying watching Nascar races. He also enjoyed knowing all there was to know about the Civil War, leading him to become a member of the Civil War Round Table.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brother, John K. Baldwin, and his sister, Grace B. Schlenker.

Robert is lovingly survived by his wife, Peggy Baldwin; sons, Tony Baldwin, Scott Baldwin, Blake (Gena) Baldwin; daughter, Lindsay Baldwin; grandchildren, Lyric Baldwin, and Bode Baldwin.

He is also survived by his two brothers, Don (Susan) Baldwin, and Chris (Tracy) Baldwin.

A service to celebrate Robert will be Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2:00pm, at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, 4495 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, Georgia.
