Sharon Kay Brewer, 64, of Canton, GA, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 12, 1961, in Jackson, MI, to Paul Ray Craft and Barbara Wilkinson Craft.
Sharon was the middle child of Ray and Barbara and a beloved sister to an older brother (Randy) and younger sister (Marty). She grew up in a home centered on faith, love, and family, which shaped her character, values, and pursuits throughout her life.
From a young age, Sharon was known for her love of Jesus, deep empathy for others, love of laughter, and quiet kindness.
After graduating from Adrian High School, Sharon attended Central Bible College and Evangel University in Springfield, MO, earning an Associate’s degree in Business Management.
After a short professional career in Tulsa, OK, she became a flight attendant for American Airlines in 1989, and moved to the Dallas, TX area, where she and Paul met in 1991, and began a courtship that led to their marriage in December of 1992.
She was passionate about her faith, family, and friends—and she cared deeply about music and worship and sang on many worship teams over the years.
Sharon was equally passionate about her family. After initially trying to conceive, she and Paul realized God had a different plan for children and they adopted their two children, Jordan (son) and Ashleigh (daughter).
Faith in Jesus Christ was an essential and steady part of Sharon’s life. Of late, she and Paul served as Community Group Pastors at Abiding Church in Woodstock, GA and she was part of the worship team.
Throughout her life, she found strength in the gospel and maintained a personal devotion that was steady, humble, and sincere. She was always willing to serve without seeking attention or praise.
Despite some health challenges, Sharon remained resilient, independent, and grateful. She found joy in meaningful conversation, reading, traveling, and staying connected to family and friends. Sharon was both loyal and kind, thoughtful and compassionate.
She had exceptional taste and loved decorating and trying new things. She invested almost all of her time in her family and church. She was a recent grandmother (Mimi) to her grandson, Elisha, and loved him and her children dearly.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 33 years, Paul; one son, Jordan Brewer of Canton, GA; one daughter, Ashleigh Brewer Bone of Canton, GA; and one grandson, Elisha Bone of Canton, GA.
She is also survived by her father, Paul Ray Craft and stepmother, Sheila Craft of Toledo, OH; brother, Randy Craft of Toledo, OH; and sister, Martha Valdez of Adrian, MI.
Her favorite Bible verse was Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
