Shirley Juanita Whitaker

Shirley Juanita Whitaker, 60, of Woodstock, GA passed away April 24, 2019. Shirley was born on December 17, 1958 in Atlanta, GA. After graduating from Etowah High School, Shirley earned her associates degree in cosmetology and became a licensed beautician.

She enjoyed a career spanning over 25 years working as a partner with her mother at Woodstock Style Shop. When she wasn’t at the beauty salon, you could find Shirley tending to her beautiful garden. She was devoted and loving mother and she absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was very outgoing and never met a stranger. Shirley had many friends who will fondly remember her care free spirit and big heart.

Shirley leaves behind her son, Dylan Crosby; daughter, Melissa Payne and her husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Kameron, Kylie, Koltyn and Kadyn; father, Hubert Whitaker; and brother, Richard Whitaker and his wife, Maria. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Whitaker.

A funeral service will be on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 4:00pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St Woodstock GA 30188. There will be a viewing 2 hours prior to the service.
