Sonia Hedda Perry

Sonia (Sunnie) H. Perry passed away at the age of 84 on July 22,2021 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with Lung cancer. Sunnie was born Oct. 9th, 1936, in Baltimore Maryland to the late Simon Fried. After meeting and marrying the love of her life Glen G. Perry in 1957, she moved to Chillicothe Ohio where they lived until his death in 2004.

She leaves behind her loving family, son Rick Perry, Chillicothe OH, daughter Glenda Shayne, Loveland CO, and son in law Ed, and daughter Veronica (Roni) Perry, Woodstock GA. Also surviving are grandchildren Dustin Chapman, Austin, TX and Channah and Abbey Perry. Sunnie is proceeded in death by her older Sister Natalie Fried Tamres and her mother-in-law, Mamie M. Perry (Whom she considered the mother she never had).

Sunnie called Woodstock her home where she lived with her daughter Roni for the past 17 years after the passing of her beloved husband, Glen Perry. She worked as a cafeteria cook with the Chillicothe Public School system retiring in 2005.

Sunnie will be remembered for her generous heart and incredible sense of humor to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 9th, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Perry residence in Woodstock, GA.
