

Susan Lee Anderson, age 76, of Roswell, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Lee was born in Marshalltown, Iowa to Charles Clifton and Harriet Clifton. She grew up with her two brothers and grandparents, she also had aunts, uncles and cousins in the neighboring towns of Davenport and Des Moines. Lee graduated from Marshalltown High School and the University of Iowa with honors. She majored in Home Economics and interior design. In her early career she was a buyer for a home furnishings company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was there that she met her future husband, Bob. They raised a family having two children, son Matthew, and daughter Meredith. Lee has five grandchildren- Ansley, Trevor and Eva in Roswell and Charlie and Hugh in Atlanta. Bob and Lee recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren on a very memorable trip to Big Sky, Montana and Yellowstone National Park. Life took the family to several areas in the United States, from the Midwest, the Rocky Mountains, and the south, including Atlanta. Bob and Lee eventually retired and located to Roswell, Georgia which brought the family back together. Since this last move in 2017, Lee and Bob have been active members at Roswell United Methodist. Lee and Bob greatly appreciated the fellowship and warmth of the relationship with the church. Lee loved gardening, bird watching, fishing, art, and puzzles. She was also a masterful cook and an avid reader. In Iowa, Lee was active as an adult volunteer at the Shueyville United Methodist Church where she was named Volunteer of the Year. Lee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dog-mom. Lee is survived by her husband, Bob, daughter Meredith, son Matthew, son-in-law John, her five grandchildren, brothers Mike and his wife Jackie, Steve and his wife Kay, and her sister-in-law Beverly and her husband Jerry. She was also survived by nieces Sandy, Keri, Shawn, and Tabitha and nephews Chris, Bill, and Kurt. Lee also leaves behind her cousins Lisa, Mark, Nancy and Bill. Lee was also survived by her pups, Oliver and Topper.
