Walt Shuler

Mr. William Walter "Walt" Shuler, age 87, of Woodstock, GA passed away May 26, 2016. Walt was born on November 2, 1928 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late William and Mattie Shuler. He will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. Walt is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Burton Shuler, daughter, Sandy Shuler, son Larry Shuler and wife Cathy, granddaughter, Kristi Brooks (Remington), Jessica Drysdale (Jeremiah) and Harrison Shuler, great-grandchildren, Keason, Kristin, Katelyn, Evie and Harvest, brothers, Harold Shuler and Glenn Shuler (Carolyn) and many special nieces, nephews and close friend and caregiver, Randy Smith. He honorably served in the military during the Korean War. Walt enjoyed a career with the Cobb County Fire Department. A funeral service will be Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2:30pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188 with interment to follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30pm.
