

Clarence “Butch” Moore Jr., 77, was born on August 2, 1945, in Columbus, to the late Clarence and Mary (Featherhoff) Moore Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Marie, and his sisters, Jackie, Jeanie, Renee, Linda, and Jerry.
Butch was a proud graduate of Pleasant View High School in Grove City, Ohio. Shortly after graduation, he entered the United States Air Force and was stationed in Savannah, Georgia.
After his honorable discharge, Butch became a meat cutter at a local grocery store. From there, he became a Union Iron Worker where he was known for his hard work and always being on time. He later opened a tree service that started as a part-time job and grew into a full-time business. During retirement, he worked at the Airport Golf Course.
A generous and kind man, Butch was always there to help family and friends. He was an avid golfer and loved playing in the Knights of Columbus Golf League. He’s been known to sink a 40 foot putt then turn around and ask you for strokes. He was the king of one line jokes and loved to have a good time. His other hobbies included playing cards and eating banana cream pie.
Butch will be greatly missed by his children, Jackie (Mark) Hopkins, John (Erin) Moore, and Jason Moore; grandchildren, Paige (Logan) Class and McKenzie Bostick; significant other, Teri Jones; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Butch will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
