Cynthia Lynn Rose, born January 3, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, peacefully passed away on February 24, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Cynthia will be forever remembered as a deeply caring, devoted, and loving sister, niece, and aunt.
Beloved daughter of James and Carolyn Rose, Cynthia graduated from Walnut Ridge High School. After high school, she joined the United States Air Force, where she served for four years in both Texas and England as a Medical Claims Specialist. This led to a career as a consultant, traveling to multiple cities across the United States, where she experienced new places and formed many lifelong friendships.
Cynthia was an independent and strong-willed woman who cared deeply for her community and for supporting others. She lived for nearly 25 years in Galveston, Texas, and received multiple honors, including the Outstanding Civic Achievement Award and the Commander’s Coin of Excellence, as a volunteer with the Galveston Police Department. She successfully completed the Citizens Police Academy in Galveston and was recognized for her service in 2009.
After moving back to Columbus to care for her elderly father, she became actively involved with the Thunderbird Acres Neighborhood Association, helping to promote community engagement and public safety. She loved making crafts, working on home projects, and spending time with the children in her life.
Cynthia’s greatest love, however, was her family and friends. She adored her brother, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. “Mama Cindy,” as she was affectionately known, also dearly loved her adopted family, the Tyler family: Marquitta, Corey, CJ, and Annie, along with their extended family, and Shelby and Messiah Turner. She was immensely proud of them all and gave unlimited love and affection.
Cynthia is survived by her brother, David Rose; her aunts and uncles, Sharon Howard and Gerald (Jerry) and Violet Wozniak; her nieces and nephews, Kelli (Matthew) Graham and Kenny (Jackie) Salisbury; her great-nieces, Eloise (Ella) Graham, Sofia Salisbury, and Adelyn Graham; and her goddaughter, Laura (Ben) Foley.
She is reunited with her husband, Daniel Stock; her parents; sister Lisa Ann; and her grandparents, Wilbur (Helen) Wozniak and Tom (Janice) Taylor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens, 5802 Elder Road, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110, on April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cynthia’s name to Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana at https://wish.org/oki.
