Donald Wayne Shaffer, 84, passed away on January 3, 2024. He was born in Marion, Kentucky to the late Harry and Wilma (Dixon) Shaffer. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his son Anthony (Tony) Shaffer.
Don spent 53 years of his life working at United Facilities, dedicated to the logistics and warehouse management business as he traveled the United States in support of their business. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast; very proud of his multiple corvettes, his 1934 Ford Pickup and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He made many lifelong friends while pursuing these interests.
Don will be greatly missed by his sons Tom (Sarah) and Tim (Darla), his daughter in law Lynn (spouse of Anthony), his 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his sister Marilyn Burge, cousin Linda Cook, his extended family and many friends.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held in Marion, Kentucky at a later date. He will be buried on Saturday January 13 at 11:00 AM at White’s Chapel Cemetary in Marion, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Don’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
