

Donna Pogorzelski Robison passed away on September 12, 2025 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Donna was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 23, 1930 to Wanda and Stanley Pogorzelski. Donna loved her extended family and was so proud of all their achievements. She is survived by her husband of 72 years James K. Robison II, her sister Pat Czapski and her six children Kathryn Robison (John Adamovics) of Skillman, NJ, Patty Brewer of Columbus, OH, Karen Ely (Mark) of Powell, OH, James K. Robison III (Sally) of Radnor, OH, Mary Della Flora (Joe) of Powell,OH, Nancy Lynch (Tom) of Myrtle Beach, SC, her nine grandchildren Taryn Ely, Nick Ely (Ying), Angela Della Flora, Maria Della Flora (Tony), Alex Della Flora (Heather), Andy Adamovics, Joe Lynch, Jack Lynch and Julia Lynch. Plus her four great grandchildren Vivian, Stella Rae, Anthony and Joseph James(JJ) who honored her with the title of GiGi. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Penny, and her brother-in-law Joseph Czapski.
Donna was a pioneer being the first in her family to graduate college receiving her Bachelor’s of Science from Wayne State University in 1952. Shortly after marrying James and starting her family, she pursued and received her Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Michigan State University. She dedicated her career to education starting in the Detroit Metro area then the Rochester, New York schools from 1965-1969. Her family relocated to Worthington, Ohio in 1969 and Donna continued her career with the Columbus Public Schools as a Guidance Counselor from 1970-1995. Since 1985, she has been an active member of her professional sorority Alpha Delta Kappa (ADK) for educators.
Following her retirement, Donna traveled extensively around the world with her husband, James. Donna and James enjoyed dancing together from the time they met. Donna continued this activity with her great grandchildren up until her passing. She led a long, full life and her love, wit and wisdom will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Schoedinger Worthington. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Our Lady of Peace.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Breakthrough T1D(formerly JDRF) or St. Jude. A luncheon at J. Liu's in Worthington will follow the funeral services.
