Dorothy Carol Boles

Dorothy (Mariott) Boles, 70, of Newark passed away on September 11, 2025. She was born on November 19, 1954, in Newark Ohio, to the late Leo Francis Marriott and Betty May (Harger) Marriott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Marriott and William Leo Marriott Sr.

Dorothy worked numerous careers throughout her life, and she loved each and every one of them. She was especially proud when she received her Real Estate License. In her free time, Dorothy loved horses, reading, sewing, and baking. Dorothy loved the holidays and spending time with her loved ones. Over the years she had many beloved pets and horses that she cherished.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Jacqueline Brandt, Stacy Boles, and Bob Cromwell; former daughter in law, Angie Cromwell; grandchildren, Jacob and Ryan Brandt, Lacey (Brandon) Keys, Kendra, Bryce, and Ashton Cromwell; siblings, Donna (Chuck) Roberts, Jane (Bill) Jones, and Wayne Marriott; and numerous extended family and close family friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 12, 2025, at 1pm, at Infirmary Mound Park Shelter #6, 4351 Lancaster Road, Granville, OH 43023.

The family would like to thank the wonderful members of Ohio Health Compassus Hospice and the Kobacker House for taking special care of Dorothy.
