Hillary is survived by her loving parents, Dean and Christine [Aldis] Pulliam; her cherished brothers and wives, Caleb and Stephanie [Albertus], Zachary and Hillary [Norton], Nathan and Jennifer [Cope], and Andrew and Melinda [Doughty]; her dear sisters, Ivy, and Emily and her husband Steven Brown. Hillary leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews, Caleb [Mengus] and his wife Chrissy, Gavin, Maddox, Berkeley, Rylan, Bella, Jayden, Addie Grace, Layla, Evan, Arthur, and Daylen. She also leaves a number of Aunts & Uncles and cousins for whom she cared deeply and who reciprocated her love in like measure.
Born in Memphis, TN, Hillary became the dear daughter of Dean and Christine through adoption while the family resided in Nebraska. Hillary joined the family as the youngest sibling and was a participant in the activities and ‘commotion’ that occur in large families. She was wise beyond her years and shared a deep compassion for her brothers, their spouses, her sisters and brother-in-law. She loved her many nieces and nephews and relished buying gifts for them and organizing family events that brought everyone together. Hillary enjoyed her own salon visits and honed a keen awareness of the latest style trends; she became the family’s ‘fashionista’ often chiding her siblings and parents about their chosen attire…”You’re not really wearing that, are you..?” She was a special gift to her family and her friends, and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service and celebration-of-life reception are planned for Hillary on Saturday, July 29, from 2-5 PM at the Schoedinger-Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, 43085. To honor Hillary’s love of both the brand and color Pink, family and friends are encouraged to dress casually and to wear or adorn your attire with her favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the GoFundMe account for Hillary, or to make a charitable gift to support the Mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in her home town of Memphis, TN.
