She was born in Delaware, OH on January 25, 1931. She lived her formative years in Reynoldsburg and Piqua, OH. She was the daughter of Arthur E. and Opal W. Halterman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Robert J. Vosler in July 2019, and her daughter Ellen K. Vosler in July 2024. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Stu (Mary), Randy (Catherine), Joel (Beth), 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Over the years Jeanine and Bob raised their family in Columbus, Miamisburg, West Carrollton, and Marion, but it was Worthington, Ohio that was the family home for 56 years.
Jeanine was a woman directed by her faith in Jesus Christ. Through her experiences serving in various churches, participating in Bible studies and service organizations, she developed a cadre of deep friendships that she cherished and maintained throughout the changing chapters of life. She enjoyed walking, gardening, participating in couples dinner groups, talking about spiritual issues as well as politics. She was adored by the growing generations of family and her curiosity kept her relevant in their eyes. Most notably, prayer was a driving focus of her life. Whether with a friend or two, a regularly scheduled group or by herself, she could be counted on to fervently intercede by prayer, whether asked or not. In later years it became her central mission to pray for those in need. She was a devotee of reading the Bible and found great comfort in the Psalms toward the end. As her ability to read faded she found comfort in having some of her favorite Psalms read to her.
As a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend, she will be greatly missed and yet we all celebrate the joyous life she has now entered.
A service celebrating Jeanine's life will be held at 4:30pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Schoedinger Worthington.
