Jeanne McFee

Jeanne Ellen McGowan McFee, 91 of Columbus, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 1, 2023. She was born on November 7, 1931, Jasper Ohio, to the late Clarence and Delphia (Slagle) McGowan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather George Rothenstine, her siblings, Joan Page, Marian Schoen, Alice Noon and James McGowan.

Jeanne was graduated from Waverly High School in 1949.

She was a charter member of The Daughters of Erin; was a long- time member of the choral group. Jeanne was active with TWIG 12 in support of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She was a long-time choir member with Shady Lane Presbyterian Church before joining Brookwood Presbyterian Church. From spring to fall you could find her at the golf course either playing or volunteering at the Memorial Tournament.

Jeanne will be greatly missed by her loving and caring husband of 58 years, Raymond “Ray” McFee, daughters Julie (Clark) Huskey and Jodie (Jerry Rees) McFee; grandchildren, Zachary (Hunter) Huskey, Erin Huskey, Ailis and Ella Rees; very special sister-in-law, Phyllis Eccard; many nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM immediately followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. All will take place at Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home. 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085.

Following the service all are welcome to Ray and Jeanne’s house to celebrate her life in traditional Irish fashion.
