

Doctor Kwame Osei was 75 and passed on November 11, 2025. Doctor Kwame Osei was a practicing endocrinologist from 1985 to 2017. He was born in the country of Ghana. He came to America in 1978. He began working at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He moved to Columbus, Ohio, for a fellowship at Ohio State University. He did research and wrote articles for AMA, NMA, and JAMA medical magazines.
Doctor Osei was a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. Director of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and Director of the Diabetes Research Center at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Professorship in the Department of Health Education and Recreation. He also held the Ralph W. Kurtz chair in Hormonology.
In 2009 he helped establish a clinic in Accra, Ghana, for diabetes. This was to address the needs for Ghanaians to be diagnosed with diabetes and treated. Those wishing to honor his memory may donate to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The AMA or NMA.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at Schoedinger Worthington, located at 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio, 43085. The service is scheduled for December 13, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Following the Celebration of Life, a reception will take place at the same venue from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
