

Mark Bach, 73, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026. He was born on May 1, 1952, in Windber, Pennsylvania, to the late Rev. Francis and Mary (Baumgardner) Bach. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rev. Ted Bach and Tim Bach.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Laura; brother David (Narissa) Bach; daughters Mary (Matthew) Behr and Sarah (Greg) Wisniewski; grandsons Aiden Behr and Xander Wisniewski; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mark Bach earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Otterbein University and his master’s degree in education administration from The Ohio State University. He retired from Westerville City Schools after serving as an elementary teacher for 35 years. He was formerly an EMT for the Westerville Fire Department and a volunteer at the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center. Most recently, he volunteered at the Dempsey Center at Riverside Hospital.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; a loyal friend; and a man whose actions reflected his deep trust in God. Through every season of life, he leaned on his faith and shared it through kindness, patience, and a willing heart to help others. His life was a blessing, and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on February 17, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, located at 20 E Dominion Blvd, Columbus, OH 43214. A Memorial Mass will follow at the same location from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Ennichement will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213, on February 17, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
