Mary Claire Schmitz

Mary C. Schmitz, 80, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side. She was born January 16, 1937 to the late Edward and Pauline Krueger. Mary was a kindhearted, caring and compassionate person. She was all about her family, kids and especially babies. Known as "Mom" to all, she found the good in everyone and was selfless, always putting everyone first before herself. She was a faithful member of St. James the Less Catholic Church and retired from the Northland Mall Sears having worked in the Home Fashions Department. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by sister, Roberta and brother, Eddie. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Donald; children, Donna (Steve) Hay, Karen (Gene) Walkowicz, Diane (Brian) McBride, Paula (Bill) Dubosh, Mary Lynn Schmitz and Bill (Suzannah) Schmitz; grandchildren, Matthew (April), Kevin (Kassie), Keith, Chris, Sara, Andrew, Carly, Michele, Jared, Joey, Payton, Eric; great grandchildren, Brice, Paige, Denny, Vinny and Tony. Also, Mary is survived by her sisters, brothers and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St. A prayer service will follow the 6-8pm visitation. A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday 10:00am at St. JAMES THE LESS CATHOLIC CHURCH 1652 Oakland Park Avenue, Columbus. Fr.
