

Paul Emerson Swayne, age 90, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in Worthington, Ohio. Paul was born on April 28, 1935 in Highland County, Ohio to the late Frank and Myrtle Swayne.
Paul graduated from Washington Court House High School before going on to work at Anderson Concrete for over 40 years. He was an Ohio National Guard military police officer during the Korean War. Paul loved restoring classic cars, woodworking, gardening, traveling, and cheering on Ohio State football, and volunteered to lead a Boy Scout Troop.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of faith, he will be remembered for his work ethic, deep faith, and generous heart.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Dorothy Marie Swayne, five brothers, two sisters, and one grandchild. He is survived by his sons Doug (Mary) and Eric (Elizabeth) Swayne, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Maize Road Baptist Church.
A visitation for Paul will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. A funeral will occur Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. A burial will occur Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035.
