

Robert J. “Sully” Sullivan, U.S. Navy Veteran, age 76, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Worthington Christian Village, surrounded by people he loved. He was born July 7, 1946, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Patrick John and Carolla Antoinette Sullivan. Sully is survived by loving wife, Nancy Ross Sullivan, children; Matt (Marianne) Sullivan, Kelly (David) Ball, Tiffany Ross, grandchildren; Delaney ,Taylor, Kendra, Derek, and Stephen, sisters; Kathy Atkinson and Ruth (Darrel) Roberts, sister-in-laws; Susan (Joe) Brady, Jayne (Brad) Ward, and Amy (Ray) Starkey, brother-in-laws, Don Jr. (Joni) Ross, and John (Sheila) Ross, nieces; Katie, Carly, Madeleine, Sydney, Olivia, Anne Marie, Jennifer, Judith (Daniel Murray) and Rachel nephews; Brady, Mason, Neil Jr., and Brian, and Godson, Logan, along with many other dear family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, brother-in-law, Neil Atkinson. Sully Graduated from Roosevelt High School, then started his journey in the U.S Navy for 24 years. He then started a career, where he was a passionate Police Officer at the San Diego Port Authority. He spent a lot of his time with his best friend and wife, Nancy. They share many precious memories together traveling the world. Sully had many hobbies that included singing, riding his motorcycle, and teaching CPR classes. He was always described as a fun, kind, generous, human being. Sully could light up a room with his smile, and could make anyone laugh with his sense of humor. He was a bright presence in people’s lives even to the end with his caregivers at WCV and Bella Care Hospice. He will be missed deeply. In lieu of flowers, family asks, donations to be made to Worthington Christian Village, 165 Highbluffs Blvd, Columbus, OH 43235. Family will receive friends Saturday, November 19th, 2022, from 2-3PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 6699 N. High Street, with a memorial service to follow at 3PM.
