To the family of Ron I offer my prayers for comfort and support from your friends and family in his passing . Ron, Carol and I all worked for The Huntington National Bank many years ago. Ron always had smile on face and he treated everyone he met with respect. I enjoyed working with him. My heart is sadden with his passing but I know he is in Heaven looking down on his family making sure they are going well. May the Lord continue to comfort you in your time of need.      Sherry, like so many others, I was devasted to learn of Ron's passing, and I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family in your loss. Ron was truly an extraordinary person in every sense. 
    You may recall that Ron and I last had drinks together about six weeks ago. Toward the end of our usual stimulating and fun conversation, he talked about how happy he was and how fortunate he felt for having found you.  One of his final comments to me that evening was his renewed realization that we all need to do what we can to enjoy life to the fullest today because none of us knows how long we have left in this world.  
    You will remain in our thoughts and prayers throughout your grieving process and beyond. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in any way.  Dan Bailey

I am so sorry for your loss.  I loved every minute that I got to work with Ron at ODU.  We did such great work together and he truly valued people and their contributions in a way that was unique to him.  He was a mentor, a great boss and a friend.  I know how much he loved his family and i loved how proud he was of his children.  Even when he was really busy, he put his family first.  He impacted so many people in a positive way.  The world is less bright without him in it.

Ron was a friend for 40 years, going back to our days together as Credit Analysts at Huntington.  Somehow he always seemed to stand out in the crowd, even back then.  It was his amazing warm and authentic personality, his willingness to listen, his fantastic sense of humor and his "smarts".   While he was really intelligent, he also never lost sight of common sense.  All of this made him a natural leader.  We worked together throughout our years at HNB and we also became close personal friends, doing everything together including a 17 day backpack and train trip though Europe with friend Skip when we were in our 20s.   The highlight was visiting his "Uncle Oscar" in a tiny little town in Germany.  Ron's relatives treated us like royalty.  At one point, we were in the kitchen in Uncle Oscar's home trying to communicate with each other (they spoke no English, we spoke no German) when the phone rang.  It was more relatives who had learned of Ron's arrival.  The phone was immediately and unexpectedly handed to Ron, but neither person could understand a word that was spoken.  Ron just kept saying "yah...yah...yah".   On that trip, Ron kept a diary in which he would record the experiences of each day.  We made fun of him at the time, but later realized how smart that was.  So many recorded memories.  

The last contact I had with Ron was a few weeks ago.  I texted that he needs to get the Northwest stock value up because I owned quite a bit and it was losing value.  Ever positive, his response was "but you gotta love the dividend".  And once again he was right!

Ron was one of a kind.  The good Lord does not create any better people.  I cannot believe he was taken from us so soon, but his sprit will live on.  As will all the fond memories.  I will miss you my friend.

I worked for Ron at Huntington about 22 years ago , and I touched base occasionally over the years.  He was a great boss and a good man, and I was shocked to hear of his passing. My deepest sympathies.

My heartfelt sympathy to Ron' s wife and family as they navigate these first immediate days of sorrow at his passing. I was privileged and lucky to have worked with Ron in his early years at the Huntington when we both were young and working our way through the ranks of Commercial Lending with Lloyd Peele, George Brooks, Grey Lewis and others. He had a strong desire to learn and help others through the rigors of Commercial Financing.  Have periodically followed his banking path leading to his ascension to the Chairman and President of Northwest Bank and always cheered for him, from afar, at every stage of his career. His banking expertise and love of Central Ohio is a great loss to all he encountered and my thoughts and prayers are with his entire family. May you find solace in the beautiful memories of the life you were able to share with him. My sincere condolences.

Ron and I worked together at The Huntington Bank for numerous years. I ran the Service Company (backroom) and Ron was one of my internal ‘customers’.  What I remember most about Ron was his constant smile, his firm hand shake, and his positive attitude. Ron was quite simply, a good guy! Being in a support role to the business units, my job was to work with the other EVP’s to support their customers. Ron was always a pleasure to work with because he understood the big picture and the issues facing other areas of the bank. Ron was a tough negotiator but always tried to understand the issues from both sides. Ron was my choice to be the next CEO of The Huntington and I shared my opinions to the then CEO on my last day of employment the last day of 1997. Ron and I were Facebook friends and through his posts, I know how important family was to him. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing and my heart goes out to his family. I will truly miss Ron because in my 40+ years in banking, I met very few Ron Seiffert’s!

For so many of us, Ron was a great banker and a good friend.  His life was well-lived:  A devoted family man; servant-leader; citizen. He will be greatly missed.

Over 15 years ago Ron hired my late husband and me to work with him at Ohio Dominican shortly after he joined the staff.  His position was a bit of a career shift for him and he never hesitated to ask our input when facing development situations unfamiliar to him.  As strong and effective as his leadership was, he possessed a humility that was rare.  He was consistently genuine,  warm and kind to absolutely everyone. He loved talking about his three girls... I particularly remember his anticipation for their (your) delight telling me about the pool being installed so your home would always be a gathering spot. I will fondly remember Ron's infectious laugh and authenticity. He was an all round good guy.   I know great loss makes us grateful for the words of others but I also know the depth of pain can not be minimized. Please know each of you will remain in my daily meditation and prayers throughout your grief. May Ron rest in peace and love and may you feel his spirit with you always.

Dear family , I am so sorry about your loss ! I am living in Charlotte , NC  with my daughter and was told the news  by a Sister-in-law. My late husband was Joe Johnson , Rom was in our wedding and he went to school with Joe at Watterson. I have so many fond memories of Ron, I can hear his voice and laugh. He certainly love his family very much and his parents and his siblings. He was a wonderful man and a great friend to Joe . Again I feel so sad about his passing, I have been a widow twice and God is so faithful to bring comfort and help at a time of great need! Much love and prayers Candy Weigand .

My sincere sympathy to Ron’s family at this difficult time. I worked with Ron many years ago at The Huntington and always had the highest regard for him.  I found him to be extremely intelligent, hard working and respectful to staff and others who supported his division. It is not surprising he achieved such success in his career. His loss will be felt by many who worked with and for him and most deeply by his family. May he Rest In Peace. 



Craig and I have so many great memories with Ron.  Memories that We will cherish forever . Ron was always such gentleman . Caring and kind, supportive and a true friend. Every life he has touched will be deeply affected my his loss.
