Sally Luebbe

Sally Lou “Schwarzell” Luebbe, age 86, passed away peacefully on Dec. 19th surrounded by family. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Albert James (Jim) Luebbe, the love of her life for over 62 years. Sally and Jim made life fun with their fantastic sense of humor, wit, and contagious laughter. Sally was a devoted wife, dedicated mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a passion for Christ, attended Grace Powell Church; and relished each day of her life. Sally attended Columbus School for Girls, was a life-master bridge player, played classical piano, enjoyed playing games with her family, listening to music and loved her flowers. Beloved mother of Chris (Durk) Reese, Joe Luebbe, David (Kristy) Luebbe, Janet (Gary) Lacey. Loving grandmother to 6 grandchildren; Lindsey McCollor, Dustin Reese, Britney Duner, Mitchel and Stephanie Luebbe and Amber Moore, and 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by brothers John (Linda) Schwarzell and Henry (Liz) Schwarzell. Preceded in death by her father Henry Howe Schwarzell, and mother, Marjorie Lohr Schwarzell. The family would like to say a special thank you to her wonderful caregivers: Charlean, Stephanie, Jessica, Ashley and Kristy. A small service will be held at 10:30 am, Dec. 29, 2023, at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH, 43085, Followed by a Celebration of Life.
