Esther Paula (“Susie”) Peoples (82), beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, passed away October 27, 2022, from Alzheimer’s disease. Susie was born August 22, 1940, to Ilo Idonna (Wren) and Franklin Paul Clay, who predeceased her in death. She was the youngest of 11 children and was predeceased by all of her siblings. She married the love of her life, Phil Peoples, on December 28, 1960. Phil passed away in February of this year. She had two loving sons, Michael and Paul, and was predeceased by both of them. Susie will be missed by her daughter-in-law, Traci Peoples; her grandchildren, Jessica (Mike) Workman, Matthew (Christina) Peoples and Taylor Peoples. She also leaves two great-grandchildren, Everly and Asher Workman. A very large extended family is also left to mourn her passing, including numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and sisters- and brother-in-law. Susie loved family above all else and made sure she was a participant in the lives of her loved ones. She worked hard all her life and was an expert on JCAHO standards for medical equipment companies. Susie and Phil lived a great life and were inseparable, traveling throughout the country in their motorhome. We are thankful she is reunited in Heaven with her husband and sons. What a reunion celebration that must be! Her family would like to thank the staff at Danbury Parkside Village and Capital City Hospice for the loving care provided in the last months of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s foundation at www.alz.org. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the East Liberty United Methodist Church, 3045 Main Street, East Liberty, Ohio.
