

They moved to Yakima in 1934 and she was educated at Saint Paul’s grade school and St. Joseph’s Academy, class of 1946. Barbara married Lloyd Bechard at St. Paul’s Cathedral in 1946 and had 6 children. She worked in the meat industry for 20 years in Yakima, Richland, and East Wenatchee and retired in 1972 to be a full time homemaker. Barbara was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of YLI (Young Ladies Institute).
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Bechard; her parents, John and Mary Wingerter; brother, John and wife Barb Wingerter; daughter in law, Nancy Bechard and grandson, Mark Bechard son of Don and Sheril Bechard.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Milliron and her son, Don (Sheril) Bechard of Ellensburg; son Chris and daughter, Jill (Jeremy) Rule of North Bend and 3 grandchildren; son Mike Bechard of Yakima and his children, Paul Bechard of Selah, daughter, Cindy (Kenny) Armstrong of Lacey and 6 grandchildren; son Steve (Michelle) Bechard of East Wenatchee and his children, daughter Stephanie (Diego) Enriquez of Seattle, daughters Dennette, Wendy, Kealey, Kelsey and Carrie, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; daughter Sue Green of East Wenatchee and her children, son Mike (Sun Ye) Turner of Florida, Dean Brashear of Montana, Jon Breshear (Jennifer) of Utah, Eric Greer of Seattle, Ryan Green (Courtney) of Idaho and 11 grandchildren; daughter Carol Zaffuto of East Wenatchee and her children, daughter Laure (Rob) Esslinger of Arizona, Shea Sanford of Seattle, Bridgette (Mark) Meyer of Texas and 5 grandchildren; son Chuck Bechard of East Wenatchee and his children, daughter Jamie (Jay) Gomez of Colorado, Erica (Dave) Hall of Pasco, Lacey Bechard of Yakima, Nicholas Bechard (Courtnae) of East Wenatchee, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home with a vigil starting at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
